This year’s Dairy Fest theme was “Dancing with the Steers” and the Figi’s float theme was “Moo Town Funk”.
Figi’s associates also volunteered their time to serve in shifts at the Mayor’s Breakfast.
The 34th annual Dairyfest kicked off Friday, May 29 with the Mayor’s Breakfast being served to more than 2,000 people. The menu consisted of a scrambled egg omelet filled with cheese, ham, mushrooms and onions, and was complemented with fresh cheese curds, assorted muffins, strawberry sundaes, fresh fruit mix, cof-fee, and ice cold white and chocolate milk.
As attendees entered the breakfast hall they were welcomed with lively, festive mu-sic. Every attendee was able to take home a ceramic souvenir coffee mug.
Figi’s associates were excited to be able to volunteer at this year’s event. Jobs var-ied from clearing off tables to selling t-shirts.
The Mayor’s Breakfast is the start of an entire weekend of festivities, including the Dairyfest Parade (pictured right). This year’s theme was “Dancing with the Steers” and Figi’s float presented parade go-ers with “Moo-Town Funk”, a play off of the popular song, “Uptown Funk” by Bruno Mars.
